Ditch the boring gym routine. Get fit, relieve stress, and learn real-world self-defense in a supportive community.
Let’s be honest: The treadmill is boring. Lifting weights in a crowded gym can feel isolating. And after a long day of work and family responsibilities, it’s hard to find the motivation to go do the "same old thing."
1
Doing the same repetitive motions week after week.
2
Carrying the weight of work and home life without a physical outlet.
3
Wondering, "If I was attacked, would I actually know what to do?"
You don't need another gym membership. You need a challenge that engages your mind and your body.
At U.S. Taekwondo, our Adult Program is designed for real people: parents, professionals, and former athletes who want fitness with a purpose.
We combine the high-intensity cardio of Fitness Kickboxing with the precision and discipline of Traditional Taekwondo.

Forget counting calories. In a single class, you will burn hundreds of calories while learning explosive kicking combinations, footwork drills, and core-strengthening forms. You’ll be so focused on learning the technique that you won't realize how hard you're working until the sweat starts pouring.
We live in an unpredictable world. Our curriculum teaches you how to use your body as a weapon if necessary. You will learn:
Striking: How to generate maximum power in punches and kicks.
Defense: How to block, slip, and evade attacks.
Awareness: How to carry yourself with a confidence that deters attackers before they start.
There is no better way to end a stressful workday than hitting a heavy bag. Martial arts requires 100% mental focus, which forces you to disconnect from your emails, your to-do list, and your worries. You leave every class feeling mentally clear and physically recharged.
The #1 question we get is: "Do I need to be in shape before I start?"
The answer is NO.
We don't expect you to be a ninja on Day 1. Our program is designed for beginners.
Go At Your Own Pace: Our instructors are trained to modify drills for every fitness level. Whether you are an ultra-marathoner or haven't worked out in 10 years, you will get a great workout that fits you.
Respectful Environment: There are no egos on our mat. You will train alongside doctors, teachers, engineers, and parents just like you. We are a community that cheers each other on.
It's Never Too Late: We have students who started in their 40s, 50s, and 60s who are now earning their Black Belts.
"I was terrified to walk in the door because I thought I'd be the only adult. I was wrong. The class was full of people my age, and everyone was so welcoming. I've lost 20 pounds, but honestly, the confidence I've gained is worth way more." — Jason M., Lehi Student

Just like our kids' program, our adult curriculum is certified by the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) and Kukkiwon. This means you aren't just doing "cardio kickboxing,"you are learning a legitimate, global martial art. If you choose to pursue your Black Belt, your rank will be recognized in over 200 countries.
Classes are overseen by Grandmaster Soung Sik Kim (7th Degree Black Belt). Learning from a master instructor ensures you learn proper biomechanics, preventing injury and ensuring that your technique is effective in real life situations.
Every 45-minute session is efficient and packed with value.
Warm-Up & Mobility (10 Mins)
Dynamic stretching to open up hips and shoulders, preventing injury and improving flexibility.
Technical Drills (15 Mins)
Learning specific techniques like side kicks, roundhouse kicks, blocking combinations.
Cardio & Bag Work (15 Mins)
High intensity rounds hitting targets or heavy bags to build endurance and power.
Forms & Focus (5 Mins)
Traditional patterns (Poomsae) that build deep core strength, balance, and mental focus.
We know you are busy. That’s why we offer evening classes at both our Draper and Lehi locations, allowing you to train after work or after dropping the kids off.
No. Sparring is an optional part of the advanced curriculum. Beginners focus on technique, fitness, and bag work. You will never be forced to spar if you are not comfortable.
Wear comfortable workout clothes (t-shirt and sweatpants/leggings). We train barefoot on professional mats. When you sign up for our trial, you will receive a free official uniform (Dobok)!
Yes. Please let your instructor know before class. Taekwondo is excellent for mobility, but we can modify any high-impact exercises to keep you safe while you build strength.
Absolutely. Taekwondo helps shy teenagers build confidence through individual achievement within a group setting. As teens reach personal goals like learning new skills or breaking boards, they develop self-belief and resilience that extends beyond the mat into social and academic life.
We offer specific Family Classes where parents and children can train together! For our dedicated Adult classes, we often schedule them immediately after kids' classes so you can train while they wait (or vice versa).
